Just returned home from a DownEast, Maine vacation. Beautiful weather, beautiful views, and a bunch of beautiful photos to work through. This view is looking toward Mt. Desert Island with Cadillac Mountain in the background.
It's amazing how close a Hummingbird will come to you if you are patient. This male Ruby-throated Hummingbird posed for me one rainy afternoon this week.

Since this rainstorm began at 10 am on Saturday, the running storm total is up to 8.33" as of 10 am today (48 hours). Nice and cool too, 47.8°F with NE winds at 16 mph. This is June, according to the calendar.
The water is finally receeding from the side yard. Last night, it was back to where the back of my car sits. So, I'm estimating it's gone down a good 10' to 15'.
