Heavily-Armed Police Storm Australian Cafe as More Hostages Flee

Four people were reportedly injured as heavily-armed polices stormed the Lindt Cafe in Sydney this morning. Just before the raid, several more hostages fled the cafe, where they'd been held by a gunman—identified as Man Haron Monis, a self-proclaimed cleric—for more than 17 hours. Police have confirmed that the siege is now over, though they have not yet confirmed any casualties or injuries.

As of December 6, 2014 updated December 9th., there have been a total of 6346 Ebola deaths, and a total of 17834 cases, with a total of 11214 of those being lab-confirmed. Sierra Leone has been hit extremely hard since last update, with their 10th. Ebola doctor Dr. Aiah Solomon Konoyeima dying, and protest by medical professionals over lack of proper equipment.

"Demonstrators taunted police, shattered windows and set fire to two St. Louis County police cars at the protest's furious peek. Scattered, intermittent gunfire was also reported.
