Is anyone else having an issue with G+ within the Safari browser constantly crashing? Safari just goes away and the report comes up within a few seconds.
I sent feedback to Google this evening as it's getting to be a real problem, which I do not believe is Apple related as I crashed one of their brand new iMacs earlier today.
Heres what I sent Google...
"Google and at a minimum the Safari browser have a serious problem of late. For the past couple of weeks I've had multiple crashes while on G+ within the Safari browser. So after four visits to the Apple store, today they completely wiped my hard drive and reinstalled the OS from scratch, I thought it was fixed... nope.. still happening. In fact while I was in the Apple store awaiting the completion of my machine, I was playing on G+ on one of their new 27" iMacs, not more than a couple of weeks old, and got it to crash as well. So whats up Google? This is going to seriously turn me against your products if it can't be resolved and quickly. Seems to happen randomly.. sometimes when typing a post, other times when trying to upload a photo, but it's getting really annoying."
I just love the things I can do with SIlver Efex Pro 2... then I thought, why not I can do that too...
Friday evening I attended the Chinese Lantern Festival here in Dallas, http://www.chineselanternfestival.com. I'd been meaning to get to this for a while as I'd heard it was a really good photo opportunity... yes it was. After I got the camera and tripod dialed in it was off to the races. Had a great time met some new friends and got a bit nippy as well, but I think it was worth the effort. Did have a bit of a scare when someone inadvertently bumped into my tripod during one of the shots... think you can tell which one it was ;-)

This was not something I was looking forward to and I put it off way too long thinking about what to do. But I got up this morning with the intent of overcoming the "comfort zone" thing and perhaps learn something new...
Well I did learn something. It's a lot easier being on the other side of the camera than trying to be on both sides at once. I played around with lots of different lighting effects till I finally just said "enough is enough just pick one".
Took me most of the day to accomplish this as it's something completely new to me... however now I have that experience I wouldn't have had were it not for +Charles Lupica deciding this was to be our maiden voyage in the community.

This is a shot I took in May, somewhere northeast of Graham TX... just now getting around to processing it.
I used several processes on it...
Started with Define for noise, Viveza to brighten up some areas, Cropped to size, SEP filter # 005 as a starting point followed by # 21 toning, a customized vignette, added ilford pan f plus 50 film type and finished it off with a # 7 image border.

I posted 24 favorites last year, figure I'll start a tradition... I've learned I really need to start keeping records of where I shoot. Yes, I found all of the locations, some were easier than others. However anyone in the future who was not right there by my side would have a difficult time trying to figure it out.
I've learned a few things over the past year, met some nice photographers and created a few more memories.
